SQL Server DBA

Introduction:

The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for providing L3 escalation support for MS SQL Server production issues and implementing performance tuning strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide L3 escalation support for MS SQL Server production issues
• Implement performance tuning strategies to optimize database performance
• Monitor database systems to ensure availability and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve database related issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database requirements
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience as a SQL DBA
• Experience with performance tuning in SQL Server databases
• Strong understanding of database concepts and architecture
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database related issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with L3 support for SQL Server production environments
• Certifications in SQL Server administration
• Knowledge of other database technologies such as Oracle or MySQL
• Experience with cloud-based database services
