Summary
This role is 100% Remote - any US Time Zone
We are seeking an Instructional Designer to complete critical updates to training materials. This role is essential to maintaining our regulatory effectiveness and reputation while supporting the launch of high-visibility programs. This role directly supports our mission by ensuring staff receive accurate training that enhances regulatory capability and maintains stakeholder confidence. Collaboration with internal departments, subject matter experts, and additional stakeholders across the organization will be required. Our ideal candidate has proficient understanding and experience with e-learning development software, LMS administration, and instructional design. Top-notch microlearning, communication, and organizational skills, a passion for best practices and continuous learning are also needed to succeed in this position.
Experience Requirements:
- Expertise with training authoring software: Articulate 360 suite, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- At least 3 years' experience in an Instructional Design, e-learning Development, or Corporate Training role
- Expertise with evolving learning/training strategies such as microlearning and training on-demand.
- Experience creating training for computer software in a just-in-time delivery format.
- Experience with the ADDIE model for creating effective training deliverables.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary internal teams including graphic designers, subject matter experts, and leadership.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time, prioritize tasks, identify and mitigate risks, and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop training materials that deliver current, accurate content supporting staff learning outcomes
- Modernize training formats to enable easy updates and align with enterprise training governance standards and best practices
- Training Program Support: Ensure training readiness for the launch of the College of Examinations (COE) and College of Risk Monitoring (CORM) programs scheduled for July 2026
- Organizational Alignment: Update course content to reflect our new organizational structure and current regulatory processes, ensuring training supports rather than weakens regulatory capability
- Regulatory Compliance: Address high-risk training content related to SEC oversight requests, ensuring all materials meet regulatory standards and expectations
- Follow established e-learning design and development standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with other training team members and subject matter experts to develop course content.
- Design new microlearning courses and learning experiences.
- Create e-learning activities that provide practical learning applications and enhance retention.
- Apply knowledge of copyright and intellectual property guidelines for e-learning.
- Partner with course developers to design AI-optimized e-learning courses that deliver compelling learning experiences and outcomes
- Create multimedia, visual/graphic design, and interactive course solutions.
- Support audio production, produce videos, and edit audio/video for course development.
- Performing quality assurance (QA) and testing of courses prior to their release.
- Collaborate with LMS administrator on testing, publishing, and launching of courses on the LMS.
- Building cross-functional partnerships and working with all project stakeholders.
- Continually evaluate feedback and work to ensure all instructional materials are consistent and uphold instructional design best practices.
Education & Requirements:
Instructional Design certification or equivalent experience.
Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred:
Experience with educational video production, development, and editing preferred.
Master's degree preferred in an Instructional Design or Corporate Training-related field.
