Primary Skills: C, C++, Java, Oracle, Linux

Secondary Skills: C#, JavaScript, SQL, Windows

Nice to have Skills: IDE Eclipse, JIRA, Azure DevOps

We do not expect candidate to be an expertise in every programming language. However, a solid foundation in software development is required, especially at:

• Configuration level
• Integration of software modules and components
• Troubleshooting and debugging

Should be comfortable with:

• Reading and understanding existing code
• Identifying where changes are required
• Compiling/building the code
• Debugging and resolving issues/problems
• Involving in upgrade process and working with different versions of existing product.

This is a legacy product that has evolved over many years. It was originally developed in Fortran, migrated to C, C++ and then expanded using Java and JavaScript. The system uses relational databases such as Oracle and SQL, and runs primarily on Linux, with limited components on Windows.
