About the Role
Luna Data Solutions is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Specialist. This role focuses on managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient operations across multiple services. You will design scalable architectures, implement automation, and lead critical troubleshooting efforts in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage cloud tenant hierarchy and resource allocation.
- Guide onboarding and provide accelerator services for new users and departments.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure-as-Code and optimize GitHub runners.
- Develop, maintain, and deploy Terraform templates for cloud services.
- Ensure secure connectivity between cloud environments.
- Architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud frameworks.
- Define and enforce cloud policies for compliance and security.
- Implement and manage cloud security measures, conduct audits.
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs and performance.
- Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies.
- Explore new technologies and automate routine tasks.
- Design and implement Docker image strategies for deployments.
- Lead troubleshooting for critical Terraform deployments in Azure.
- Mentor junior team members in Docker and GitHub runner optimization.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience (candidates without a degree must have 12+ years of equivalent experience).
- Extensive experience with Terraform and cloud environments.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud security, cost management, and compliance.
- Familiarity with automation and performance tuning.
Preferred Certifications
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
