Project/Day to Day: Will be a one-man team, they will be doing software testing, managing the QA/QC when it gets released as soon as possible, resolve bugs. Will be working closely with the software team.
Overview:
Responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and user experience of client's software products and related embedded systems. This role combines rigorous testing, critical analysis, and cross-team communication to maintain high product standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans, including performance, compatibility, UI/UX, I/O, and release testing.
Define scope for manual and automated testing; suggest improvements to testability.
Perform detailed, repeated validation and testing of smartphone software and handheld, embedded devices.
Test functionality of Android and iOS smartphone apps and Linux based handheld rugged devices.
Test software I/O's; document and communicate results.
Review software documentation and requirements; contribute to product design from a quality perspective.
Evaluate and report on vendor-supplied hardware/software during R&D.
Process bug reports, crashes, and feedback; work with PM and developers to prioritize fixes.
Qualifications:
QA/QC experience, preferably in software
o 2+ years
Ability to plan and run experiments, isolate variables, and apply critical thinking.
Familiarity with mobile applications, scientific devices, and embedded systems is a plus.
Plus
Experience in other disciplines such as electronics, statistics, mathematics, chemistry or similar is a plus.
Soft Skills
Attention to detail and ability to spot anomalies.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to isolate root causes.
Clear communication skills for documenting bugs and reporting findings.
