Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Strategy

• Design and govern enterprise-class cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead cloud modernization programs including app refactoring, containerization, microservices, and serverless.
• Define cloud best practices, landing zones, automation frameworks, and security controls.
• Drive cloud adoption roadmaps, capability uplift, and cloud governance standards.

Application Architecture

• Architect and design distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native applications.
• Guide teams on application modernization, re-platforming, and migration strategies.
• Provide hands-on leadership on microservices, Kubernetes, API gateways, CI/CD, and DevSecOps pipelines.

Infrastructure & Operations

• Design scalable infrastructure patterns including networking, VPC/VNet design, IAM, observability, HA/DR, and multi-region architecture.
• Oversee performance tuning, cost optimization, capacity planning, and operational excellence.
• Ensure secure, compliant, and resilient cloud operations aligned to enterprise standards.

Data & Analytics Architecture

• Architect modern data platforms leveraging Databricks, Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, and cloud-native data services.
• Lead end-to-end data solution design including ingestion, transformation, governance, storage, MLOps, and real-time pipelines.
• Enable interoperability between application, data, and infra layers to support enterprise analytics and AI initiatives.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with product, engineering, data, and business teams to define solution roadmaps.
• Mentor and upskill engineering teams in cloud technologies and architectural design.
• Communicate architectural decisions with clarity via reference architectures, strategy documents, and executive presentations.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, software engineering, and enterprise architecture.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with at least 2 major cloud platforms (Azure strongly preferred; AWS/Google Cloud Platform experience required).
• Experience with data engineering and analytics platforms including Databricks (core, SQL, ML, Delta Lake).
• Expertise in microservices, APIs, event frameworks (Kafka, EventHub), serverless, and container orchestration (AKS/EKS/GKE).
• Deep knowledge of cloud networking, identity, security frameworks, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, SRE, and cloud operations.
• Background in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, .NET, Scala, Go).
• Experience architecting high-scale, low-latency, resilient enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional cloud certifications (Azure Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with AI/ML architecture, vector databases, and MLOps pipelines.
• Experience with enterprise data governance, security, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2, GDPR).
• Prior experience in large-scale cloud migrations or hybrid cloud environments.
