Job Title: Developer Middleware Integration III
Location: San Antonio, TX (Remote is ok)
Job Summary:
The Developer Middleware Integration III is responsible for the design, development, administration, and performance tuning of middleware platforms and enterprise integration solutions. This role supports mission-critical systems and ensures seamless communication between applications across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with middleware technologies and integration tools, particularly in utility or public sector environments.

Job Summary:
The Developer Middleware Integration III is responsible for the design, development, administration, and performance tuning of middleware platforms and enterprise integration solutions. This role supports mission-critical systems and ensures seamless communication between applications across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with middleware technologies and integration tools, particularly in utility or public sector environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, administer, and optimize middleware platforms including IBM ACE, MuleSoft, IBM MQ, Kafka, and others.
- Design and implement APIs using IBM ACE and MuleSoft.
- Perform installation and configuration of middleware tools in high availability environments.
- Tune JVMs and manage application servers such as Tomcat, Weblogic, and WebSphere.
- Develop and maintain integration components using Java, ABAP, Perl, Shell Scripting, XSLT, DataWeave, and SQL.
- Support Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) using SOAP, WSDL, and RESTful services (RAML/Swagger).
- Administer databases including Oracle, SQL Server, and Hadoop on UNIX and Windows platforms.
- Collaborate across teams to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Apply project management principles and contribute to documentation and communication efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited university.
- Significant experience with at least 7 of the following technologies/tools:
- IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise)
- MuleSoft
- IBM MQ, Active MQ, Kafka
- IBM WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat, Weblogic
- API development and administration
- Java or ABAP programming
- JVM tuning
- SOAP, WSDL, RESTful services (RAML/Swagger)
- Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop
- Perl, Shell Scripting, XSLT, DataWeave, SQL
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have a favorable driving record.
- Master's degree in Information Systems or related field.
- IBM ACE certification.
- MuleSoft certification.
- Experience in the utility industry or public sector.
- Familiarity with NERC standards.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud, Rabbit MQ, and WebSphere.
