Job Title: Technical Analyst (Transportation Systems Expert)

Project Overview
This organization is transitioning from its legacy on-premise Omnitracs Roadnet system to Solera Omnitracs OT1, a cloud-based SaaS solution. This initiative focuses on improving routing and dispatch functionality across a large distribution network.
- Pilot Go-Live: March 20
- Rollout: Weekly deployments across 22 regions through end of May
- Duration: Approximately 4 6 months
The Technical Analyst will play a critical role in testing, validating vendor configurations, troubleshooting issues, and supporting data/reporting needs to ensure a successful deployment.
Role Summary
The Technical Analyst acts as a technical-functional liaison between transportation teams and the vendor implementing OT1. This role ensures vendor configurations meet business requirements, supports API and data validation, and provides technical troubleshooting during rollout.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate and test vendor-applied configurations for accuracy
- Collaborate with transportation and business teams to resolve issues
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman
- Provide technical support for system access and functionality issues
- Create and maintain reports (report writing is a strong value-add)
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with Omnitracs Roadnet
- End-to-end implementation experience with Roadnet or OT1
- Proficiency with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
- Understanding of cloud architecture concepts (SaaS, security, connectivity)
- SQL skills for data validation
- Strong documentation and analytical/problem-solving skills

- Report development and data validation expertise
- Experience with multi-site rollout projects
