Summary
Role: Data Engineer
Location: Boston (onsite 3 days/ week)
Contract: 12 months
!! Only W2 !!
- 10 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or enterprise data platform development
- Strong, hands-on expertise in advanced SQL (such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL), including performance tuning and complex analytical queries
- Demonstrated experience implementing data lakes or cloud data platforms, such as:
- Microsoft Fabric
- Snowflake
- AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lambda)
- Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or equivalent platforms
- Experience with AI technologies is a plus
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD tools (Jenkins or equivalent), version control (Git) and Orchestration tools
- Experience operating in a DevOps environment with cloud technologies. Amazon Web Services is a plus.
- Experience building end-to-end data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
- Strong experience supporting business intelligence and analytics tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Solid understanding of data modeling techniques (dimensional, normalized, and analytical models)
- Experience working with financial data domains (e.g., accounting, FP&A, budgeting, expense, headcount, or vendor data)
- Ability to independently implement solutions from requirements through production deployment
