We are seeking a mid-level Business Intelligence Developer to join a cloud-first data team supporting enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong BI and data modeling fundamentals, hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, and proven expertise building Tableau dashboards that drive business decisions.
You will work across the full BI lifecycle partnering with business stakeholders to design data models, optimize cloud-based datasets, and deliver high-impact visualizations in a modern analytics environment.
A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills are essential, as this role works closely with both technical teams and business users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and design robust, scalable data models to support complex reporting and analytics use cases
- Develop and optimize datasets in cloud data warehouses (BigQuery and/or Amazon Redshift), including performance tuning for large datasets
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decision making
- Troubleshoot reporting and data issues holistically across the BI stack (source systems, data warehouse, and visualization layer)
- Design and implement automated data processing and reporting solutions
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to extract data from multiple source systems while ensuring data integrity
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical needs into technical solutions
- Operate independently on moderately complex initiatives while managing priorities and timelines
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills:
- 3 5 years of experience in BI and data modeling, including analyzing requirements and designing data models for complex business needs
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehousing, specifically BigQuery and/or Amazon Redshift
- Strong Tableau experience, including building dashboards and reports used for business decision-making
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with business partners
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using the Tableau REST API for automation or integrations
- Experience modernizing or enhancing existing BI and reporting solutions
- Knowledge of database maintenance, upgrades, and performance optimization
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
