Are you a seasoned Azure Cloud Architect ready to make a real impact? We're looking for a cloud expert to join our team under the Microsoft Uplift Program, driving critical cloud transformation initiatives while supporting production systems. This Dallas-based, hybrid/remote, 1-year contract role combines strategic design work with hands-on implementation and support in a collaborative, high-impact environment.

SALARY COMP: Up to $80/HR depending on the candidate s experience, etc.

WHAT YOU LL DO:

As an Azure Cloud Architect, you ll be the go-to expert for designing, building, and optimizing cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with Microsoft s best practices.

Architect end-to-end Azure solutions that align with business goals and technical needs.
Translate complex requirements into secure, scalable, cost-effective designs.
Lead cloud governance & ensure compliance with Azure Well-Architected Framework & the Cloud Adoption Framework.
Collaborate closely with:

Developers to ensure performance and integration.
Security teams to implement robust, compliant cloud security.
Administrators and DevOps teams for smooth deployment and operations.
Data Engineers using Microsoft Purview to establish data governance and lineage.

Drive implementation and management of:

Microsoft Purview for data classification and compliance.
Microsoft Intune for secure device management.
Microsoft Copilot to empower users with AI-driven productivity tools.

Automate infrastructure and operational tasks with PowerShell and Python.
Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
Create and maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation.

WHAT YOU LL BRING:

7+ years in IT, including 3+ years in cloud architecture roles.
Deep hands-on experience with Azure core services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity, Security).
Direct experience with:

Microsoft Purview
Microsoft Intune
Microsoft Copilot
PowerShell and Python for automation

Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, hybrid environments & integration with on-prem systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

PREFERRED (NICE TO HAVE):

Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications.
Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, etc.).
