We're Hiring: Microsoft Customer Engineer - Microsoft 365 Apps (Long-Term | Remote USA | Microsoft Project & Planner Expertise)
Apex Systems is partnering to find a highly skilled Microsoft Customer Engineer with deep expertise across Microsoft Planner, Planner Premium with Accelerator, and Microsoft Project.
If you have the technical leadership to guide enterprise customers through the evolving world of Microsoft 365 Apps-and you're passionate about helping organizations modernize their project workflows-this role is for you.

Project for the Web
Project Online / Professional
Project Server Subscription
This includes understanding how features are evolving, what integrations look like, and how to guide customers through these changes.
Core Role Overview
As an M365 Enterprise Applications Customer Engineer, you will:
Empower customers to maximize productivity across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (Classic & New) and the modern M365 ecosystem.
Support deployments, migrations, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Lead technical workshops, training, and adoption engagements for Microsoft 365 Apps.
Work cross-functionally with IT stakeholders, admins, and leadership.
You'll help customers explore what they're using today-and guide them toward what's possible tomorrow.
Desired Background
Strong experience across Planner + Project, including migration paths
Enterprise channel expertise
Comfort discussing 100-200 level scenarios with customers
Office apps integration, troubleshooting & optimization
Experience with PowerShell, VBA, networking concepts (proxy, DNS, site blocking) a plus
Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years in customer-facing technical roles (system architecture, operations, software support)
Strong experience with Microsoft Teams, Office Apps, and Microsoft 365 Admin
Deep knowledge of Office Apps deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office Online Server
Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Office Scripts, VBA)
