- Hourly Range: $22.60 - $32.02 (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant. A 15% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City or San Francisco, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.)

Overview:Bechtel's internship program was created to cultivate real-life industry interest based on hands-on experience. Many new university graduate hires began their careers at Bechtel as a summer intern. Locations will vary based on project needs and may include Houston, TX, Reston, VA, or various project sites.
Major Responsibilities:Engineering Automation interns work in multi-disciplinary teams and provide support to Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, and Plant Design disciplines within Engineering and cross-functional support to Procurement and Construction.
Typical Activities of the Engineering Automation Team
- Assisting with setting up, installing, supporting, configuring, and implementing automation software tools.
- Investigating and resolving problems and providing information about the software and systems to the users.
- Customizing applications, preparing user guides, and delivering training materials based on customer needs.
- Developing work plans to accomplish assigned tasks within established budgets and schedules.
Education and Experience Requirements:Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, computer science or relevant Engineering and/or Information Technology (IT) at an accredited college or university.
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies.
- Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master of Science degree program in Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant Engineering and/or Information Technology (IT) at an accredited college or university.
- Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
