Brightpoint Community College invites applications for an innovative and collaborative
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Specialist to support the college's expanding focus on artificial intelligence in teaching and learning, student services, workforce development, and operational efficiency. This position plays a key role in helping faculty, staff, and academic leaders understand, adopt, and implement AI solutions across the institution.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide training, workshops, and one-on-one support for faculty, staff, and students on AI tools, responsible use, and practical applications.
- Assist academic programs in developing AI-related certificates and degrees, and support the integration of AI competencies into existing curricula across disciplines.
- Build or customize in-house AI tools-including chatbots, workflow automations, and analytics applications-to enhance teaching and learning, business processes, and student services.
- Collaborate with departments across the college to expand institutional AI capacity.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and trends, and maintain resources and guidance for the campus community.
- Support the development and execution of the college's AI strategy.
This is a restricted position through June 30, 2026, with the potential to be continued, pending College funding. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree; experience using AI technologies and supporting end-users in technology adoption; strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Additional Considerations:Experience in education, instructional design, or workforce development; programming experience (Python, JavaScript, or similar); experience building AI applications or automations.
