Job Title: Data Scientist/Applied Scientist
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist/Applied Scientist to develop and implement cutting-edge machine learning solutions for our travel and events platform. This role will focus on building scalable AI-driven solutions to enhance customer experience and drive business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems
- Build and optimize large-scale natural language processing solutions
- Create efficient data pipelines and scalable architectures for AI applications
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams including Travel Operations, Supplier Category Teams, and Travel Technology team to support data-driven decision making and improve business processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in applied machine learning and deep learning
- Strong expertise in Python and ML frameworks
- Extensive experience with Large Language Models and transformer architectures
- Proven track record of deploying ML models to production
- Strong proficiency with AWS services (Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, ECS, S3)
- Experience with MLOps practices and tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) architectures
- Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search
- Expertise in prompt engineering and fine-tuning language models
- Experience with containerization and microservices architecture
- Background in travel industry or related domains
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

- Build and deploy Generative AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and other AWS AI/ML services.
- Evaluate and integrate foundation models (Claude, Titan, Mistral, LLaMA, etc.) available in Bedrock for enterprise use cases (chatbots, summarization, RAG, etc.).
- Fine-tune and prompt engineer large language models (LLMs) for domain-specific needs.
- Work on GenAI pipelines: data preprocessing, prompt tuning, retrieval augmentation (RAG), and model evaluation.
- Optimize cost and performance of GenAI workloads in the AWS ecosystem.
- Collaborate with product and data teams to design AI-driven applications.
