Description
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Governance Lead to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the effective management, security, and organization of our data assets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data governance standards, policies, and best practices, driving value and compliance across the organization. Responsibilities:
Define and maintain data governance policies and standards to support multiple data domains across the organization.
Lead collaboration efforts with data stewards, data owners, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Oversee the implementation and execution of data governance tools, such as Profisee, Azure Databricks Unity Catalog, and Microsoft Purview.
Develop and deliver training materials and guidance in partnership with the Learning and Development team to improve data governance understanding.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the data governance program, reporting on key metrics and program maturity.
Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure data consistency and support analytical needs.
Provide oversight for asset management initiatives, ensuring adherence to data standards and policies.
Drive the adoption of data governance best practices and promote awareness of its importance throughout the organization.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure the successful execution of data governance-related tooling development.
Evaluate and enforce compliance with internal and external data regulations and requirements.
Requirements
6+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, and data management
Experience with data catalog administration, data lineage, and dictionary management.
Familiarity with Databricks and Microsoft Azure, including Azure Databricks architecture.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and presenting data to C-level stakeholders
Proven ability to oversee asset management processes and enforce data standards.
Knowledge of business intelligence tools and technologies.
Experience building out an enterprise-wide data governance program
