Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Telecom)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Doral, FL that is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Telecom) to support the development and execution of the Mobile Cloud Strategy by defining technical requirements, automating cloud operations, and ensuring reliable, cost-effective delivery of mobile services.

Key Responsibilities:
* Define and implement cloud infrastructure requirements for mobile services
* Plan and support cloud evolution toward modern architectures (e.g., 5G)
* Develop automation using Unix Shell, Python, and related tools
* Deploy and manage cloud platforms using OpenStack and Kubernetes
* Monitor performance, optimize capacity, and support scaling activities
* Provide Tier 3 support and act as SPOC for complex cloud issues
* Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and scaling
* Track cloud inventory, configurations, and operating costs

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience
* 2+ years of cloud engineering or operations experience (telecom or vendor preferred)
* Hands-on experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes, Unix Shell, and Python
* Knowledge of physical infrastructure (power, cooling, datacom)
* Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
* Fluent in English and Spanish

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
