Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Senior ML Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.
Responsibilities:
Model Deployment and Serving: Design and maintain production ML inference pipelines with focus on reliability, latency, and scalability
Data Engineering: Build and optimize data pipelines using PySpark and Redshift for feature engineering and model training
Local LLM Infrastructure: Deploy, fine-tune, and optimize local LLMs using Ollama and similar frameworks
MLOps: Establish and improve ML workflows using MLflow for experiment tracking, model registry, and deployment automation
Team Leadership: Mentor ML team members, drive technical decisions, and establish engineering best practices
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with SRE team on infrastructure, monitoring, and incident response for ML systems
Qualifications:
5+ years in ML engineering with production deployment experience
Strong Python proficiency
Hands-on experience with MLflow (or equivalent: Kubeflow, SageMaker)
Experience building data pipelines with PySpark
Working knowledge of data warehouses (Redshift preferred)
Experience deploying and serving ML models at scale
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with local LLM deployment (Ollama, vLLM, llama.cpp)
Background in SRE/DevOps practices for ML systems
Experience with AWS ML services (SageMaker, Bedrock)
Contributions to open-source ML tools
The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $195,000 or the hourly equivalent.
