Position: Back End Engineer - W2
Location: Richfield, MN
Duration: 12 Months
Our client is seeking a local to Minnesota Back End Engineer with 10+ years of software engineering experience, with experience in design and architecture, and 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform and have experience with Google Dataflow. They are also must have experience with Java and Spring.
The interview process will be 2 interviews that will both be onsite in Richfield, MN at the Headquarters.

Senior Software Engineer
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Seeking Senior Software Engineer for our client within the Personalized Communication/Marketing domain. This role is a senior individual contributor position focused on solution design, architecture, and technical leadership across multiple engineering teams. This is not a people manager role and not a traditional senior engineer role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Act as a technical and solution design engineer supporting three engineering teams
- Design architectures and technical solutions for new initiatives and enhancements
- Provide technical expertise and guidance across teams
- Partner with engineering managers and stakeholders to clarify requirements
- Review designs and recommend technical approaches
- Support teams during implementation as needed
WORK SPLIT
- Approximately 70% solution design, collaboration, and architecture
- Approximately 30% hands-on coding
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend and distributed systems focus
- Proven experience serving as a technical expert or solution design lead across multiple engineering teams
- Deep expertise in Java, including strong fundamentals and experience designing scalable backend services
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform in production environments
- Design-level experience with Google Cloud Platform Dataflow, including building and supporting large-scale data processing pipelines
- Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures, such as Pub/Sub
- Strong experience designing and supporting cloud-native, highly distributed systems
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and architectures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and design decisions to technical stakeholders
Preferred
- Experience working in AWS environments alongside Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with Java-based Spring or Spring Boot services
- Experience working with BigQuery, including SQL and analytics use cases
- Experience with large-scale data processing and analytics platforms
- Prior experience supporting or guiding multiple engineering teams simultaneously
