**This position is contingent upon contract award**
SOSi is seeking a Data Storage and Recovery Administration Engineer in Wiesbaden, Germany. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in the design, implementation, and daily management of enterprise storage solutions and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures. This role is responsible for ensuring theater-level data availability and resilience by managing high-performance NetApp and Cisco MDS infrastructures, executing complex replication strategies, and leading failover operations to maintain mission-critical continuity.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide expert engineering and administration for enterprise SAN/NAS environments, specifically utilizing NetApp technology and Cisco MDS fabric switches.
- Manage and optimize data replication and backup strategies using SnapVault, SnapMirror, and disk snapshot technologies to support theater-level failover operations.
- Lead the planning and execution of Disaster Recovery initiatives, ensuring rapid data restoration and system availability in the event of hardware or site failure.
- Oversee storage connectivity, allocation, and infrastructure for Windows Server (2012/2016) environments, ensuring seamless integration between compute and storage layers.
- Direct daily storage operations, including capacity planning, performance tuning, and the maintenance of hardware and software within a high-availability data center.
- Maintain strict STIG compliance for all storage arrays and switches to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN).
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Active in scope Secret clearance.
- BA/BS degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Business Administration, or Mathematics) plus three (3) years of specialized experience OR Associate's degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR a major professional certification plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR eleven (11) years of specialized experience.
- Possession of at least one of the following: NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS) or Veritas Certified Professional (VCP).
- Demonstrated experience with Cisco MDS fabric switching.
- Expertise in NetApp technologies, including ONTAP, SnapVault, and SnapMirror.
- Proficiency in maintaining storage within Windows Server 2012/2016 environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with disk snapshots, storage, and replication to support disaster recovery and failover operations.
- Familiarity with U.S. military command and control communications systems.
- Experience in Network Services Support or technical consulting.
- Proven background in Disaster Recovery planning and execution within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

- Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
