Job Title: Senior API Developer (AWS Cloud)
Location: Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL (100% Onsite)
Contract Duration:  (6 Months)
Compensation: $50.03/hr (W2)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior API Developer with 10+ years of experience to lead the design and management of scalable, secure API solutions. This role is centered on the AWS ecosystem, requiring a deep understanding of cloud architecture and the ability to deliver high-performance solutions within an Agile/SAFe environment.

Key Responsibilities

* API Leadership: Design and deploy scalable APIs using AWS API Gateway and architectural styles like REST and GraphQL.
* Cloud Orchestration: Leverage AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and EKS for complex data processing and microservices orchestration.
* Security & Compliance: Implement industry-standard security including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and data validation protocols.
* Performance Monitoring: Utilize AWS CloudWatch to identify bottlenecks and optimize API responsiveness.
* DevOps Collaboration: Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CDK) to ensure resilient deployments.
* Documentation: Maintain comprehensive API specs using Swagger/OpenAPI.

Required Qualifications

* Experience: 10+ years of software programming, with 5+ years focused specifically on Backend/API development.
* Programming: High proficiency in Python, Node.js, Java, or C#.
* AWS Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with API Gateway, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EKS, and SNS/Pinpoint.
* Methodology: Proven experience in Agile/SAFe methodologies.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.
