Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Techno-Functional Payroll Consultant to support and enhance enterprise payroll operations on the Oracle Cloud platform. This role requires a strong blend of functional payroll expertise and technical capability to ensure accurate payroll processing, system integrations, compliance, and continuous optimization.
The ideal candidate will work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver stable, compliant, and scalable payroll solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end payroll processing using Oracle Cloud Payroll
- Configure and maintain payroll elements, balances, fast formulas, costing, and statutory rules
- Support payroll cycles including regular, off-cycle, retro, and year-end processing
- Handle payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance requirements
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll issues and improve processes
Technical Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, HDL/Spreadsheet Loader uploads
- Support integrations with third-party vendors (benefits, tax, banking, time systems)
- Troubleshoot payroll data issues and provide root-cause analysis
- Support payroll-related reports using OTBI and BI Publisher
- Assist with patches, upgrades, testing cycles, and post-production support
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Payroll (Cloud preferred)
- Strong techno-functional expertise across payroll configuration and technical components
- Proven experience with Fast Formulas, HDL, payroll balances, and costing
- Solid understanding of payroll compliance and statutory requirements
- Experience supporting integrations and data conversions
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Payroll Cloud certification
- Experience supporting US payroll (multi-state preferred)
- Exposure to other Oracle HCM modules (Core HR, Absence, Time & Labor)
- Prior experience in a production support or post-go-live environment
