Java Developer

Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis, contributing to key back-end development projects in the financial services industry. This position will focus on creating scalable and secure solutions for bank integrations, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to deliver high-performing systems. Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, this role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement bank integration services to enhance system functionality.
Collaborate with external vendors and internal engineering teams to ensure seamless integration processes.
Design and lead system architecture for small to mid-scale development initiatives.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions to streamline deployment processes.
Utilize modern frameworks and tools to work within a cloud-based environment.
Ensure high-quality code standards and system security throughout the development lifecycle.
Participate in technical reviews and provide critical input to improve system design and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integration and system functionality.
Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry best practices to continuously enhance development processes.
Contribute to the greenfield development efforts, building solutions from the ground up.

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on back-end development.
Proficiency in Java (Java 21+) and Spring Boot 3 for application development.
Hands-on experience with GraphQL, DynamoDB, and Kafka.
Strong knowledge of cloud services, preferably AWS.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools, including GitHub and GitHub Actions.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and leading small to mid-scale system architecture projects.
Solid analytical and critical thinking skills to address complex development challenges.
Prior experience in the financial services or banking industry is a plus.
