Job Details

We are seeking a Data Manager / Business Data Lead to oversee enterprise-level data migration, cleansing, and conversion activities. This role requires leadership in both data management and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring quality deliverables, structured reporting, and seamless communication across Fund staff, project managers, and independent verification consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of data analysis, cleansing, and conversion
  • Review and sign off on deliverables, ensuring quality and compliance
  • Prepare detailed agendas, objectives, and deliverables before meetings
  • Document key decisions, action items, and issues in JIRA
  • Submit bi-weekly (or weekly as required) project status reports covering progress, risks, and quality
  • Develop detailed project work plans aligned with implementation schedules
  • Ensure compliance with written deliverable standards including formatting and versioning
  • Facilitate communication between staff, consultants, and external agencies

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in data management or large-scale data migration
  • Demonstrated experience producing structured status reporting and deliverables
  • PMP certification
  • Strong Oracle and data migration knowledge
  • Familiarity with JIRA or equivalent project tracking tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Agile or Scrum Master certification (CSM, PMI-ACP)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Experience collaborating in multi-party project structures
Schedule:
  • Standard work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM or 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST. Work is primarily onsite in New York City; remote work may be approved with prior authorization.
  • Workweek is 35 hours, not including a mandatory unpaid one-hour meal break.
  • The Fund observes 12 official City holidays each year.
  • Any work beyond 35 hours per week or on observed holidays requires prior written approval from the Fund's Project Manager.
  • Consultants may occasionally be required to work after hours, weekends, or holidays.
  • Must be available to respond to high-priority or critical emergencies affecting data systems.
  • Anticipated contract term is two years from Notice to Proceed. Contract may be renewed for up to two additional one-year periods under the same terms and conditions.
