Additional Details:
Join Wayfair's AAI Platforms & Capabilities team to transform how experimentation happens at scale. You will build AI-powered tools, robust data pipelines, and intuitive dashboards that streamline test setup, analysis, and decision-making. You'll work cross-functionally to innovate the A/B testing lifecycle and help shape a platform that empowers thousands of experimenters across the company. As part of the AAI Platforms & Capabilities team, this role focuses on advancing Wayfair's experimentation platform and processes. Your work will focus on building and optimizing experimentation pipelines and tools that improve statistical power, increase test throughput and reliability, and enhance the end-to-end test lifecycle.
What You'll Do:
Basic Qualifications
All Boston-based interns, co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely the other 1 day of the week.

- This is a Boston based opportunity with a 4 day in office expectation.

- The salary range for this position is $94,000 - $99,000 per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
Join Wayfair's AAI Platforms & Capabilities team to transform how experimentation happens at scale. You will build AI-powered tools, robust data pipelines, and intuitive dashboards that streamline test setup, analysis, and decision-making. You'll work cross-functionally to innovate the A/B testing lifecycle and help shape a platform that empowers thousands of experimenters across the company. As part of the AAI Platforms & Capabilities team, this role focuses on advancing Wayfair's experimentation platform and processes. Your work will focus on building and optimizing experimentation pipelines and tools that improve statistical power, increase test throughput and reliability, and enhance the end-to-end test lifecycle.
What You'll Do:
- You will work on building production data layers to power our new technology and features and use python tooling to manage our current pipelines.
- You will become an experimentation expert able to answer questions across test types for all users.
- You will own high visibility reporting and dashboards used by hundreds of people across the company to understand our testing platform and individual test results.
- You will work on piloting and scaling AI projects to reduce manual overhead through thoughtful automation and data architecture both for the data science team and for all experimenters at Wayfair. Future projects include building an AI chat bot for test implementation support and test set up data pulls.
- The work is highly collaborative, requiring partnership within Data Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, and Product teams.
 
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, or a related discipline with a strong academic record.
- Experience in an analytics or data science role, performing quantitative analysis and delivering actionable recommendations from findings.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including knowledge of aggregate functions, joins, etc. Hands-on experience and comfortability with Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.- Data Engineering: Candidate should understand how to build productionalized data and maintain it in python and SQL. For python, looking for someone that has a level of experience where they have built object oriented frameworks. Experience with Airflow (or other orchestration) is a plus. - Statistics: Candidate should have knowledge of [some type] of standard statistical modeling and methodologies, bonus if this is focused on A/B testing and if they have used python packages. If no experience, they must be interested in this area.
- AI: experience with AI tooling is a plus, but expectation is just that the candidate is enthusiastic and wants to work in the AI space
- Dashboarding: Candidate should have experience with dashboarding and understand how to make compelling visualizations. Experience with Looker is a plus but not expected.
- Product Analytics: Candidate should be able to use data to generate insights
- Experimentation: Candidate should understand and have experience with A/B testing, bonus if they know other testing methodologies.
 
 
- Data Engineering: Candidate should understand how to build productionalized data and maintain it in python and SQL. For python, looking for someone that has a level of experience where they have built object oriented frameworks. Experience with Airflow (or other orchestration) is a plus. 
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future. This includes the following work visas: STEM OPT H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, J-1, or TN.
- Must have python in addition to SQL
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and own data pipelines end-to-end, ensuring data accuracy, scalability, and reliability
- Demonstrated curiosity and interest in Artificial Intelligence and its applications in analytics and business
