CRM Applications Architect

Role: CRM Applications Architect

Expected Duration: 4 months (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Hybrid, candidates should be local to the Austin area

Summary:

This architect will support modernization of core veteran services by defining end-to-end solutions that streamline service delivery, improve consistency and speed for veterans, strengthen audit readiness and compliance, and enable trusted reporting and operational insight. The solution direction is increasingly Salesforce-centered, supported by integrations to vendor platforms and remaining legacy/on-premises components.

• Lead solution architecture for initiatives spanning loan services automation, call center transformation, and data modernization
• Define end-to-end solution designs across CRM/SaaS platforms, integrations, vendor solutions, and legacy/on-prem components
• Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to translate service goals into technical requirements, architecture decisions, and delivery plans
• The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to work independently, coordinating closely with ITS leadership and project teams to ensure alignment with program goals and sustainable implementation.

Required Skills:

• 8 years of Required Progressive experience in enterprise applications and integrations, including 3+ years leading solution architecture/design authority for complex programs
• 4 years of Required Experience designing solutions across CRM/SaaS platforms (including Salesforce), API integrations, third-party SaaS solutions, and custom/on-premises systems
• 4 years of Required Strong ability to partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate outcomes into technical requirements, architecture decisions, and delivery plans
• 4 years of Required Proven success guiding delivery teams through technical design reviews, implementation oversight, and release readiness

Preferred Skills:

• 4 years of Preferred Producing and maintaining architecture artifacts (current/future state, integration flows, solution options, decision records)
• 4 years of Preferred Defining integration patterns and interface requirements; coordinate across internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure interoperability
• 4 years of Preferred Lead design reviews and technical governance; ensuring implementation aligns to standards, security expectations, and maintainability goals
• 4 years of Preferred Support delivery execution (planning, dependency management, release readiness) and resolve cross-team technical risks
