The Boeing Company is currently seeking a
Teardown Engineer to support our
Product Analysis & Teardown Lab located in
Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Enterprise Technology Office of the Boeing Technology Innovation business organization.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead/participate in physical part teardown, analysis, and cost modeling
- Engage with leaders, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on teardown campaigns and associated projects
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
- Evaluates customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
- Performs various analyses to optimize systems and/or system architecture
- Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience with optimal cost and how it enables programs to meet their affordability goals
- Work schedule flexibility to support international team members
- Experience working with McKinsey Cleansheet cost modeling software
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: structures, systems, interiors, manufacturing, avionics
- Cross functional experience working with global partners
- Experience with systems engineering; understanding the cost & design trades and current Boeing efforts in design practices, model-based engineering, and the digital thread
- Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and oversee multiple projects and meet associated deliverable deadlines within assigned budget

Summary Pay Range: $91,800 - $124,200
