Summary
DevOps Engineer
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support software development and operations. This role focuses on automation, scalability, reliability, and security across the application lifecycle, enabling faster and more stable product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Manage cloud infrastructure and on-prem environments
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes
- Ensure system security, compliance, and best practices
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response
- Optimize cost, performance, and scalability of infrastructure
- Maintain documentation for systems and processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
- Knowledge of security best practices and DevSecOps
- Experience with databases and caching systems
