Lead Marketo Architect / Solution Architect (Marketing Automation Expert)
Experience: 15 - 17 Years (Specific to MarTech Architecture & Marketo)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly seasoned and strategic Lead Marketo Architect to define, design, and execute the enterprise-level architecture of our Adobe Marketo Engage platform. With 15-17 years of experience in the MarTech landscape, the ideal candidate will be a visionary leader responsible for ensuring our Marketo instance is robust, scalable, compliant, and deeply integrated with the entire GTM technology stack. This role demands deep technical expertise to translate complex business strategies into a resilient, high-performing marketing automation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture Design: (Minimum 15+ years of experience in Solution/Enterprise Architecture): Design and maintain the comprehensive technical architecture of Adobe Marketo Engage, ensuring it scales with business growth and adheres to best practices for performance, data hygiene, and security.
Integration Strategy & Execution: (Minimum 10+ years managing complex integrations): Define the architecture for complex, bidirectional integrations between Marketo and core enterprise systems (CRM like Salesforce/MS Dynamics, CMS, data warehouses, and other MarTech tools like Vidyard or Workfront). Ensure reliable data flow via APIs, webhooks, and third-party middleware (e.g., Mulesoft, Tray.io).
Platform Configuration & Governance: (10+ years in Marketo Configuration/Admin): Oversee advanced configuration, administration, and governance protocols. Establish standards for campaigns, programs, lead scoring, attribution models, segmentation, and data compliance (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA).
Performance & Scalability Optimization: (10+ years in System Optimization): Proactively monitor syste m performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement optimization strategies to maintain high deliverability, quick data processing, and efficient campaign execution.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship: (8+ years in Technical Leadership/Mentorship): Provide technical leadership to a team of Marketo Admins and Specialists. Act as the subject matter expert for all architectural decisions related to the platform.
Strategic Roadmapping: (5+ years in Strategic Planning/Roadmapping): Collaborate with senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders to develop a 3-5 year technology roadmap for marketing automation, evaluating new features and third-party tools to enhance capabilities.
Documentation & UAT Oversight: (10+ years in Documentation/QA Oversight): Create detailed architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and comprehensive documentation. Define UAT strategy and oversee testing to ensure all new architectural deployments function flawlessly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 15 17 years of experience in marketing technology, data architecture, or solution architecture roles, with a deep focus on enterprise B2B marketing automation platforms in the US market.
Technical Proficiency (Mandatory Expertise):
- Marketo Architecture: 10+ years of expert-level, hands-on experience as a Marketo Architect
- Marketo Configuration: 8+ years of deep expertise in Marketo Skyliner architecture principles and technical limits
- API & Database Concepts: 8+ years of proficiency in API development/management, data modeling, SQL/database concepts
- Front-End Technologies: 5+ years of experience with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- CRM Integration (Salesforce/MS Dynamics): 8+ years of strong understanding of CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce, from a data integration and synchronization perspective
- Expert-level hands-on experience as a Marketo Architect is essential.
- Deep expertise in Marketo Skyliner architecture principles and technical limits.
- Proficiency in API development/management, data modeling, SQL/database concepts, and front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Strong understanding of CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce, from a data integration and synchronization perspective.
Certifications:
- Adobe Certified Master Marketo Engage Architect certification is required.
- PMP or other enterprise architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF) are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities in complex technical environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and drive technical teams toward strategic goals.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is (75 -85/hourly ). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
