Summary

Senior Power Systems Software Engineer

Location: Remote (anywhere in the US)

Employment Type: Long-term contract opportunity

About the Role:

We are looking Power Systems Software Engineer with strong experience in SCADA/EMS, specifically e-terra AEMS (Reliance/XA21). This role focuses on Power Systems application development, working with Electric Utilities/ISOs/TSOs, and using C++ on mission-critical, real-time systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead the customization, development, and delivery of EMS solutions, preferably e-terra AEMS - Reliance.
Collaborate with Electric Utilities, ISOs (Independent System Operators), and TSOs (Transmission System Operators) to define functional software specifications.
Design, code, test, and integrate power systems applications for transmission.
Tune and optimize applications for performance and reliability.
Ensure successful implementation and delivery of assigned software functions in alignment with corporate project commitments.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing and customizing Energy Management Systems (preferably e-terra AEMS).
Proven experience with Power Systems applications for transmission (e.g. load flow, contingency analysis, power factor).
Strong programming skills in C++, Java, or similar languages.
Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience working with Electric Utilities, ISOs, or TSOs.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Reliance EMS platform.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
