Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Certifications:
QA-related certifications (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Software Quality Analyst)
Required Experience:
1. 12+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
2. Strong proficiency in QA methodologies, functional and regression testing, and test automation frameworks.
3. Experience with performance testing, troubleshooting, and validating application stability across environments.
4. Familiarity with enterprise systems integration and data validation processes.
5. Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI and best practices for secure application development.
6. Hands-on experience with QA tools and components (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Oracle WebLogic Server).
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting test cases, reporting results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience:
1. Experience designing and maintaining automated test suites for complex applications.
2. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and participation in Scrum ceremonies.
3. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
4. Knowledge of application and data security best practices in QA processes.
5. Experience working in government or public sector environments with regulatory compliance requirements.
6. Exposure to RESTful services testing and API validation.
7. Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Execute test cases, log defects, and verify remediation.
2. Prepare test execution reports and defect logs.
3. Validate data integrity and system functionality post-remediation.
4. Configure and manage QA methodologies and test automation tools components.
5. Support defect resolution and retesting activities.
6. Participate in integration efforts with Florida PALM and FLAIR systems.
