Description
We are looking for an experienced hands-on Information Security Manager to oversee and enhance the organization's cybersecurity framework. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in developing security policies, managing compliance, and implementing risk management strategies. Based in Hartford County, Connecticut, the position demands a proactive leader who can ensure the organization's security infrastructure aligns with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures tailored to organizational needs.
Oversee compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and other relevant frameworks.
Manage risk assessment processes and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
Lead and coordinate audits related to cybersecurity and governance risk compliance.
Monitor and improve the organization's security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
Provide leadership and guidance to teams handling application and enterprise security.
Establish and maintain IT governance structures to ensure effective cyber governance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure corporate security policies align with business objectives.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to security operations and compliance.
Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend proactive measures.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in information security or related roles.
Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, including ISO 27001 and NIST standards.
Strong knowledge of risk management and governance practices.
Proven ability to manage compliance audits and security assessments.
Hands-on experience with Security Information and documentation.
Solid understanding of corporate governance and IT governance principles.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Strong expertise in writing cybersecurity policy and procedures.
