We are seeking an experienced Java Development Lead with strong backend and API development expertise to support enterprise identity and access management (IAM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Java developer with leadership capability and exposure to SailPoint and IAM platforms. This role will work closely with cybersecurity, architecture, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable backend services and identity-driven integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of Java-based backend services and APIs.
Serve as a technical lead, providing guidance, code reviews, and best practices to development team members.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs supporting identity, access, and security workflows.
Integrate Java applications with SailPoint IdentityIQ / IAM platforms.
Collaborate with IAM and Cybersecurity teams to implement secure access controls and identity-driven solutions.
Develop scalable services leveraging AWS cloud services.
Ensure secure coding standards, performance optimization, and system reliability.
Work closely with DevOps teams using GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
Troubleshoot complex backend, API, and integration issues.
Create and maintain technical documentation and development standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience in Core Java and backend application development.
Expertise in RESTful API development.
Experience with Java scripting, frameworks, and backend libraries.
Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, etc.).
Proficiency with GitHub and version control best practices.
Experience in designing scalable, high-performance backend systems.
Strong understanding of secure coding practices.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ or other IAM platforms.
Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
Cybersecurity exposure, including authentication, authorization, and access controls.
Familiarity with enterprise security standards and compliance frameworks.
Experience working in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
