We are seeking a highly capable Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead and drive complex, large-scale programs spanning multiple technology, product, operational, and business teams. This role requires strong technical fluency, exceptional cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage programs with significant integrations, dependencies, and organizational impact.
This position is not a Product Manager role - the TPM will be fully focused on delivery, coordination, execution, program governance, and ensuring alignment across multiple technical workstreams.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Delivery
- Lead large, multi-team technical programs and ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, scope, and deliverables.
- Create and manage program roadmaps, milestones, risks, and dependencies across all participating teams.
- Oversee system integrations, deployments, workflow changes, and multi-environment readiness.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the central point of coordination between engineering, operations, product, newsroom/business teams, and leadership.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable communication for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-team decision-making and drive clarity in ambiguous or rapidly evolving situations.
Operational & Organizational Change Management
- Lead programs involving workflow transitions, system migrations, and organizational structure changes.
- Ensure teams and processes adapt successfully to new tools, systems, or operational models.
- Develop and implement scalable program processes that improve execution efficiency and predictability.
Risk & Dependency Management
- Identify risks early, drive mitigation plans, and escalate effectively with clear context.
- Ensure all teams understand upstream/downstream dependencies and maintain alignment through program execution.
Technical & Launch Readiness
- Coordinate technical, operational, and business readiness for major deployments and transitions.
- Ensure teams across multiple time zones remain aligned and prepared for launch milestones.
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager overseeing complex, multi-workstream initiatives.
- Strong technical understanding of systems architecture, integrations, APIs, and workflow dependencies (coding background not required).
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-visibility programs with broad cross-functional impact.
- Experience driving organizational change management across multiple teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder alignment, and executive reporting skills.
- Comfortable working across time zones in distributed environments.
Preferred
- Experience in broadcast, media, or newsroom environments, particularly in fast-paced or live production ecosystems.
- Background with programs involving workflow transitions, operational integration, or multi-system deployments.

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $85 - $95 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
