AWS Data Engineer

Introduction:

This position involves designing, building, and maintaining risk metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions. The AWS Data Engineer will work with large amounts of data, develop tools to streamline processes, and collaborate with functional leaders to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Extract data from various sources and expand skills in SQL and Spark
• Architect data pipelines from on-premises to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Build applications using Google Cloud Platform frameworks such as DataProc and Google Cloud Storage (GCS)
• Communicate effectively to understand and convey requirements
• Analyze large datasets on Hadoop HDFS using Hive and Spark
• Work with a cloud hosting platform, preferably Google Cloud Platform
• Obtain Google Cloud Platform certification (preferred)
• Utilize Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools (preferred)
• Experience with finance/treasury datasets

Requirements:

• Experience in data extraction and manipulation, with proficiency in SQL and Spark
• Strong knowledge of Google BigQuery and building data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
• Proficiency in developing applications using Google Cloud Platform frameworks like DataProc and GCS
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
• Comfortable with querying and analyzing large datasets on Hadoop HDFS
• Professional experience with a cloud hosting platform, Google Cloud Platform preferred
• Preferably possess Google Cloud Platform certification
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools is a plus
• Experience working with finance or treasury datasets
