Under broad supervision, this role is responsible for generalizing conceptual knowledge to determine ways to solve a range of straight-forward problems and situations.
Responsible for understanding how a system works and develops, executes, and maintains moderately complex test cases to ensure the system functions according to requirements, and documents defects with supporting documentation. Responsibilities include analyzing moderately complex problems to determine the root cause of the issue.
Essential Accountabilities - Works under moderate guidance and direction, using standard procedures to make sound decisions. Detailed instructions are given for new activities or special assignments. Work is reviewed for soundness and technical judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy.
- Prepares and executes manual test cases, according to the system defined requirements, to ensure overall quality of the product and that the system meets defined requirements.
- Understands automation frameworks and ability to create manual test cases that can be used by automation testers.
- Sets up the system and creates database queries to prepare for testing particular scenarios.
- Assists in the planning and development of test plans, test cases and data. Ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Utilize and help optimize the use of testing and integration tools in testing efforts.
- Identify and prioritize issues with testing and system behavior. Participate in root cause analysis on problems encountered during testing and recommend possible solutions. Collaborate with developers and technical support staff as needed to isolate root cause of defects and provide recommendations.
- Adhere to bank and system software development methodologies and standards. Actively participate in the Agile process and ceremonies. Manage and keep assigned work items up to date.

Education and Experience - Associates degree and 5 years of related work experience OR
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related work experience OR
- Master's degree and 0-1 year of related work experience
