Summary

Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Job Type: Contract

Interview Mode: In-Person/ MS Teams

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases.
Develop and maintain UFT automation scripts and frameworks.
Perform API testing using Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, or similar tools.
Execute SQL queries to validate backend data (CRUD operations).
Prepare and conduct UAT walkthroughs with business stakeholders.
Track, log, and manage defects in Jira with detailed documentation.
Maintain requirements traceability matrices (RTM) and test execution reports.
Work closely with Agile sprint teams to support Dev, Test, and UAT cycles.
Perform multiple test types including functional, integration, regression, system, performance, stress, smoke, and UAT.
Support accessibility testing initiatives to meet WCAG 2.1 AA compliance when required.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on QA testing and automation experience.
Strong expertise in UFT automation testing and scripting.
Extensive experience with Jira defect tracking and Xray test management.
Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and usability principles.
Proficient in SQL query development (CRUD operations).
Proven experience in API testing and automation using Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, or similar tools.

8	Required	Strong SQL query knowledge Create, Read, Update, Delete
8	Required	Experience in writing and executing tests automation using UFT
8	Required	Experience in conducting API Testing and automation using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER or similar
8	Required	ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED IS LISTED IN THE JOB DESCRIPTION
5	Preferred	Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming preferred.
5	Preferred	Experience utilizing accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards
5	Preferred	Experience working with the State of Texas HHS agency and system preferred.
