Sr. AI Engineer

As a Senior AI Engineer, you'll be a hands-on technical leader, architecting, developing, and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions that directly impact our business. You'll bridge the gap between complex AI concepts and real-world applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems and drive tangible results. You'll not only design the architecture but also dive deep into the code, ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our AI systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Ship AI Applications: Architect, build, and deploy production-grade AI-powered applications using modern frameworks and techniques (e.g., RAG, agentic workflows, multi-modal inputs, LLM APIs). Own the entire lifecycle—from prototype to deployment to maintenance.
• Leverage Modern LLM Ecosystems: Build applications using libraries like LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, and Pydantic AI. Work with both hosted and open-source LLMs and integrate them into secure, scalable, user-facing systems.
• Engineer for Scale and Performance: Develop robust backend services and data pipelines to support AI features. Leverage Python, REST APIs, and orchestration tools. Tune for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across environments.
• Lead by Example: Drive technical decisions, own architecture reviews, and mentor engineers. Set high standards in code quality, security, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product managers, UX, data teams, and DevOps to shape solutions that are not only technically sound but also aligned with user needs and business priorities.
• Stay Current & Drive Innovation: Explore advancements in AI tooling and LLMs and actively identify opportunities to incorporate them into products. Contribute to internal frameworks and reusable assets to speed up delivery.
• Build Responsible & Secure AI: Ensure that AI systems and data pipelines comply with security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade systems
• 3+ years of experience delivering AI-powered applications, ideally involving LLMs, RAG pipelines, or agentic workflows
• A track record of shipping product, not just building prototypes—especially in customer-facing applications
• Proficiency in Python and experience with modern software architecture, backend services, and cloud deployment
• Working knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, Pydantic AI, or equivalent frameworks for LLM integration
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design; able to reason through performance and optimization tradeoffs
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, define problems, and build elegant, scalable solutions from scratch
• Excellent communicator, comfortable interfacing with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams
• Curiosity-driven and self-directed, with a passion for learning and applying new tools and techniques in real-world settings
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Nice To Have:

• Experience deploying scalable, resilient AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS)
• Exposure to vector databases, similarity search, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation methodologies
• Hands-on experience building autonomous agent workflows or task orchestration for multi-step reasoning
• Experience with observability, telemetry, and guardrails in production AI systems
• Contributions to open-source projects in the AI or developer tooling space
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience with applied machine learning, systems programming, or distributed computing
