Business Systems Analyst

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: MN-Saint Paul, 100% Remote

Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers

Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs

Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation

Interview or survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed

Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared

Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles

Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with strong technical exposure

Experience supporting backend system workflows, enterprise applications, or mobile infrastructure

Ability to read/write basic SQL queries for data validation

Strong understanding of APIs, data mapping, and system integration principles

Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence

Strong communication skills, especially in translating business needs to technical teams

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage one's time

Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback

Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models

Knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or other related advanced degree preferred

Experience supporting mobile applications or field service platforms

Exposure to tools such as Postman, Swagger, or other API testing/documentation platforms

Familiarity with DevOps, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), or ETL/data transformation processes

Experience working in a large enterprise or field-based service environment

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $115,000 or the hourly equivalent.
