We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support LAN operations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure enhancements in an enterprise environment. This role involves hands-on network support, collaboration with cross-functional technical teams, and participation in on-call rotations for critical incidents.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN-related issues
Replace defective network components as required
Respond to LAN development and support requests
Participate in an on-call rotation, including off-shift and weekend support as needed
Work directly with business partners and vendors on infrastructure integration
Design and implement process improvements for network development and support
Follow ITSM processes and maintain accurate documentation for all changes
Collaborate with firewall, VPN, wireless, and NAC teams to plan and execute changes
Advise business partners on technical questions related to LAN infrastructure
Education & Experience
8 years of progressively responsible experience in Network Engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
OR equivalent work experience (minimum 9 years if no degree)
Required Technical Skills
LAN implementation and support
Strong understanding of:
TCP/IP fundamentals
Ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting
Copper and fiber cabling
OSPF, VLANs, VLAN trunking
Switching configuration
Hands-on experience with Cisco switches and familiarity with Cisco networking equipment
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Experience with network automation and scripting
Experience with DNA Center / Catalyst Center
Wireless networking knowledge and hands-on experience
Experience supporting medium to large enterprise environments
