Enterprise Architect – Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Oracle ERP - Principal Solution Architect to lead and oversee the architectural strategy for our Global Supply Chain domain. Reporting directly to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our IT landscape as it relates to the supply chain, with a particular focus on driving our ERP transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise architecture, ERP transformations, and a proven track record in the global consumer product goods (CPG) sector, preferably utilizing Oracle Cloud.
Local (El Segundo) candidates are strongly preferred. Remote candidates are required to travel 50% - 75% (to corporate and other facilities as required). Relocation to Corporate in El Segundo, CA is recommended. For local candidates, onsite presence is needed.
The Opportunity
ERP Transformation Leadership:
· Serve as the architectural leader for the Oracle Cloud ERP transformation within the Global Supply Chain domain.
· Provide a structured framework to assess the current IT landscape, design the future state with the new Oracle Cloud ERP system, and guide the transition process.
· Ensure alignment between business strategy and the new technology, minimizing disruptions, and maximizing transformation benefits.
Current State Analysis:
· Map out the existing IT infrastructure, including applications, data flows, integrations, and business processes.
· Identify areas of inefficiency, gaps, and improvement opportunities in the current IT landscape.
Future State Design:
· Define the target architecture for the new Oracle Cloud ERP system, considering factors like system integration, data migration, and potential impact on existing applications.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to align future-state architecture with business objectives.
Gap Analysis:
· Identify discrepancies between the current and desired state to ensure readiness for the Oracle Cloud ERP transformation.
· Highlight required changes in applications, processes, or integrations to meet transformation goals.
Roadmap Development:
· Create a detailed, phased plan for transitioning from the current system to the new ERP.
· Define timelines, milestones, and key deliverables to ensure timely execution.
Decision Support:
· Provide insights and recommendations on technology selection, vendor evaluation, and risk mitigation.
· Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership during critical decision-making processes.
Integration Management:
· Oversee the integration of the ERP system with existing applications, ensuring seamless data flow and operational continuity.
· Collaborate with IT teams to manage technical complexities and dependencies.
Governance and Compliance:
· Establish architectural guidelines, standards, and practices to ensure the ERP system aligns with organizational governance and compliance requirements.
· Monitor adherence to these standards throughout the transformation.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Oracle Solution architecture, with a focus on the supply chain domain, with at least 2 full cycle implementation of Oracle Order Management ( O2I )/ Distribution Management, Procurement Management, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management (Including Intercompany movements) and Costing.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex challenges effectively.
• Proven track record leading ERP transformations, preferably in the global consumer product goods (CPG) industry using Oracle Cloud will be preferred.
• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, data flows, application integrations, and business process optimization.
• Strong knowledge in EDI integrations with Oracle Cloud Order management and procurement
• Strong Knowledge in following Technical Areas:
· ADF Frameworks, Workflow - Business Process Management (BPM),
· Reports–Development of BI Publisher Reports
· Data Loading -FDBI, HCM Data loader
· PL/SQL – Queries & creating stored procedures
· Strong understanding of cloud computing, microservices architecture, and containerization will be preferred.
· Strong understanding of cloud PaaS, preferably Oracle Cloud will be preferred.
· Having Oracle Certification is plus
· 10-25% Travel required.
