About the Job

Our client is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install and maintain safety and level gauging equipment on industrial and commercial marine vessels. This role involves hands-on electrical work, troubleshooting, and remote service delivery in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. You'll work independently, manage company assets, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring high standards of safety and performance.
Responsibilities

• Install and maintain safety and gauging systems on marine vessels
• Run electrical conduit, bend pipe, and install marine-grade cabling
• Test, inspect, and diagnose electrical systems using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and loop calibrators
• Read and interpret electrical schematics
• Support PLC programming, industrial automation, and process control
• Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and basic PC networking
• Manage company assets including vehicles, smartphones, laptops, tools, and inventory
• Perform physically demanding tasks (e.g., lifting heavy objects, climbing cargo tanks)
• Work independently and remotely in various weather conditions
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Communicate professionally with clients and provide timely service and expense reports
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Ensure a clean driving record and maintain required certifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical degree, relevant certifications, or 2-3 years of experience preferred
• Valid driver's license, TWIC card, and passport (or ability to obtain)
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must pass pre-hire background checks and drug testing
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills

Working Conditions

• Majority of time spent outdoors in varying weather
