Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer

We are looking for a Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer to work on an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) modernization project.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build complex ETL data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform BigQuery
• Create and maintain clear documentation to ensure data quality and governance
• Support QA and UAT testing for data validation . Help with deployments to higher environments (QA, UAT, Production)
• Experience in data engineering, working with large and complex data pipelines
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building data transformations in BigQuery
• Experience working with custom ETL frameworks
• Knowledge of Teradata and ability to understand BTEQ scripts
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform tools like Data Fusion and Cloud Functions
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery as a cloud data warehouse
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as: Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Dataproc, Pub/Sub Dataflow, Data Fusion, Cloud Functions . Experience with job orchestration tools like Airflow
• Ability to build and maintain large data pipelines. Experience automating jobs using Python . Strong experience with GitHub or similar version control tools. Good scripting skills (Python and Bash). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work in an Onsite/Offshore model and lead a team
