Title: Senior Enterprise DBA Vulnerability Remediation

Role Summary
The Senior Enterprise DBA will be responsible for executing database-level vulnerability remediation across application and infrastructure landscapes. This role focuses on secure patching, upgrades, configuration hardening, and remediation validation for Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and SAP HANA platforms, working closely with Vulnerability Remediation and TVM teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform database vulnerability remediation aligned with CVSS severity and remediation SLAs
Execute database patching, PSU/CPU updates, and security fixes across platforms
Manage Oracle Database Infrastructure patching and upgrades
Support SQL Server patching, refreshes, mirroring, and security updates
Perform DB2 LUW upgrades, fix packs, and performance tuning activities
Execute SAP HANA database and component updates for security remediation
Perform application patching and upgrade activities requiring DBA involvement
Perform post-remediation validation and support re-scan activities
Maintain remediation documentation, runbooks, and change records
Coordinate downtime, change windows, and rollback planning with stakeholders
Education
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Equivalent professional experience may be considered
Required Skills
8 16 years of hands-on Enterprise DBA experience
Strong experience in database vulnerability remediation and patching
Oracle Database administration (installations, upgrades, patching)
Oracle Grid Infrastructure patching and upgrades
SQL Server patching, refresh, mirroring, and security maintenance
DB2 LUW upgrades, fix packs, and performance tuning
SAP HANA database and component update experience
Strong understanding of CVSS-based vulnerability remediation
Experience supporting remediation across production and non-production environments
Change management, validation, and rollback planning expertise
Preferred Skills
Experience working within managed services or product-based remediation teams
Exposure to vulnerability remediation tools (e.g., Rapid7 reporting outputs)
Experience supporting both application and infrastructure remediation efforts
Familiarity with ITIL change processes and maintenance windows
Experience working with AIX, Linux, and Windows server teams
Strong documentation and stakeholder coordination skills
Certifications (Preferred / Nice to Have)
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
Microsoft Certified: SQL Server / Azure SQL Database
IBM Certified Database Administrator DB2
SAP HANA Certification
ITIL Foundation
