RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Data Engineering. This position is full-time, remote (AZ working hours required, may be expected to attend meetings on site as required).
Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in analyzing complex business needs and recommending system solutions or process improvements. Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, this role ensures that requirements for enhancing or modifying application processes are clearly documented, communicated, and validated. The Senior Business Analyst collaborates closely with technical experts to design, develop, test, and implement solutions that meet business objectives. This position may also lead projects and mentor other analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with stakeholders to analyze business needs and enhance software solutions
* Develop detailed documentation for functional, system, user, and reporting requirements, including use cases, process flows, and data mapping
* Conduct research and feasibility analysis for proposed projects
* Perform data profiling and analysis from source systems
* Ensure solution requirements are clearly documented and validated
* Support functional and user acceptance testing throughout the development lifecycle
* Assist in creating ROI/value propositions for proposed initiatives
* Help define scope and manage release schedules for development projects
* Collaborate with IT managers to create detailed work plans for software development
* Provide status reporting, knowledge transfer, and implementation plans
* Build and maintain relationships with software vendors and implementation partners
* Guide and review the work of other Business Analysts
* Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; Or Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst working with business systems related to support, analysis, or development
Preferred Qualifications:
* Business Analysis or Project Management Professional certification
* Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) for data analysis
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
