An ideal candidate would have experience working on or around industrial or heavy equipment and have electrical engineering expertise. He/she provides technical support to the Controls Team, Electrical, Manufacturing and Operations. He/she also supports the field service department in troubleshooting Drilling rig electrical control system problems. - Performs development engineering, for both new and existing products
- Maintains product safety in all designs
- Participates in company safety meetings and safety awareness
- Performs design prototyping, including field implementation and testing
- Provides technical support to other departments and field service personnel
- Follows required regulatory codes
- Performs engineering calculations as required
- Prepares and reviews electrical product documentation
- Creates Engineering Masters in the Visual Manufacturing System.
- Other duties maybe assigned.

- Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-2 years of electrical or controls and automation experience or equivalent.
- PLC programming experience.
- Experience working on or around heavy, industrial equipment.
- Mathematical skills per engineering degree requirements

- Ability to read, comprehend and write in English.
- Ability to effectively present technical information, to colleagues, customers and vendors.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

COMPUTER SKILLS
- Spreadsheet and word processor software
- AutoCAD, Promise-E or SolidWorks Electrical a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Driver License
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Valid passport
- Domestic and international travel may be required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Essential engineering expertise ? electrical design, control systems, power generation, and system interface.
- General computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of drafting principles including CAD and PROMISE-E a plus.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles as it relates to manufacturing operation.
- Knowledge of 600V power systems, industrial control systems and instrumentation.
- Understanding of patents

- Provide technical support to other departments
- Provide engineering analysis, design, plan, review and inspection on projects
