Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Database Engineer 3 opportunity with our client located in Sunnyvale, CA.

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) with a minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in complex PostgreSQL and MongoDB administration and multi-cloud architecture.
• While expertise in MongoDB is critical for this role, the focus will be architecting and managing our large-scale PostgreSQL environments.
• This pivotal position requires exceptional adaptability to quickly learn and master any new database technology or cloud platform.
• The role drives core technology strategy, leading all major migration and upgrade projects, and ensures the operational excellence, resilience, security, performance and cost efficiency of our multi-terabyte scale database environments on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• This position requires proven expertise in managing highly available systems, leveraging cloud databases AWS, Google Cloud Platform, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and advanced DB Administration skills, including implementing compliance controls.

Must Haves:

• Min 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Min Bachelors
• DBRE (PostgreSQL & MongoDB)

Job Details:

• Contract: 12 months
• Pay Range: $60 - $68/hr
• Location: Sunnyvale, CA (3 days onsite).
