Quality Systems TechnicianPosition SummaryThe Quality Systems Technician is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and quality standards. This role coordinates and completes government, regulatory, and compliance documentation across all business units and supports the effectiveness of the Company's Quality Management System (QMS). The position plays a key role in document control, audit preparation, regulatory monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives within an AS9100-certified aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation structure to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure company-wide compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements
- Manage organizational documentation including review, approval, release, revision, and obsolescence
- Collaborate with process owners and subject matter experts to create, review, and control quality and regulatory documentation
- Distribute and communicate document releases, changes, and obsolete documents
- Champion the submission and maintenance of PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) for current production parts
- Maintain and update PMA requirements as needed
- Monitor and interpret regulatory compliance requirements and communicate changes impacting the business to leadership
- Coordinate and communicate regulatory requirements and changes from agencies including FAA, CAA, JAA, EASA, and others
- Perform internal audits and maintain the Company's Internal Audit Schedule
- Support third-party, customer, and regulatory audits, investigations, and inquiries
- Qualify new raw materials and ensure all materials meet regulatory and quality specifications
- Assist in analyzing the Company's regulatory compliance posture, complete customer compliance surveys, and develop control recommendations
- Review proposed regulatory agency activities to assess potential impact on company operations
- Provide guidance to quality personnel regarding FAA, CAA, JAA, and EASA requirements
- Champion the generation of FAA Form 8130-3 Airworthiness Approval Tags
- Maintain DMIR certification with the FAA
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the Company's Quality Objectives and comply with Quality, AS9100, Environmental, Health, and Safety policies
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a highly regulated compliance environment
- Minimum of 3 years of auditing experience, or AS9100 certification with at least 1 year of experience
