Overview
We are seeking an experienced M365 Platform Administrator who knows Microsoft 365 inside and out. This is a highly operational role focused on troubleshooting, problem-solving, and maintaining a reliable M365 environment across SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Power Platform Administration, and related services. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, thrives in a fast-paced support environment, and excels at working directly with Microsoft and internal users to resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as the operational expert for Microsoft 365 tenant services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online, focusing on service health, adoption, and performance.
· Active role in Power Platform Governance – utilize COE Toolkit for monitoring and maintaining Power Platform Environments from an Administrative perspective.
· Support Purview controls including Information Protection (sensitivity labels), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Data Lifecycle Management (retention labels/policies); review and respond to DLP alerts and compliance reports.
· Troubleshoot complex and unusual technical issues across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Office 365 Desktop Apps.
· Work directly with Microsoft Support to diagnose and resolve escalated problems.
· Perform day-to-day platform support—responding to incidents, investigating root causes, and ensuring service stability.
· Implement minor improvements, configuration updates, and optimizations within M365 to enhance performance and user experience.
· Implement and tune Defender for Office 365 (EOP, Safe Links, Safe Attachments).
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Microsoft 365 Administrator.
· Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 fundamentals with hands on administration across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and related services, including tenant configuration and service health.
· Strong hands-on experience supporting SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and related M365 services.
· Proven experience working with Microsoft Support to resolve complex technical issues.
· Exceptional communication skills, critical thinking, and follow-through—must be able to own issues end-to-end.
· Background in Managed Service Provider (MSP) or cloud hosting environments (e.g., Rackspace) is highly desirable.
· Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining collaboration with distributed teams.
