Job Title: AEM Technical Lead

Location: Fort Mills, SC (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-time/Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AEM Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AEM Sites, deep technical expertise, and the ability to guide teams while collaborating closely with business and design stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end AEM implementations including design, development, deployment, and support
Architect scalable and secure AEM solutions aligned with business requirements
Provide technical leadership to AEM developers and review code for quality and best practices
Design and develop AEM components, templates, dialogs, workflows, and services
Customize AEM using Sling Models, OSGi services, servlets, and JCR
Integrate AEM with third-party systems, APIs, and backend services
Work closely with UX, product owners, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Ensure adherence to AEM best practices, performance optimization, and security standards
Manage CI/CD pipelines, builds, and deployments for AEM applications
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks
Mentor team members and contribute to technical documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of overall experience with 5+ years in Adobe Experience Manager
Strong experience with AEM Sites (Cloud Service or On-Prem)
Hands-on expertise in:

Java, Sling, OSGi, JCR
HTL (Sightly), JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Sling Models, Servlets, Workflows

Experience with AEM architecture, dispatcher, caching, and performance tuning
Strong knowledge of REST APIs and system integrations
Experience with build and deployment tools (Maven, Jenkins, Git)
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service
Knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, or other Adobe Marketing Cloud tools
Exposure to headless AEM and SPA Editor
Adobe AEM Developer or Architect certification
